What this role is about
We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead critical initiatives within our fast-paced small biotech organisation. This role combines strategic project management with technical expertise, bridging the gap between cross-functional teams (e.g., analytics, engineering, scientists), pharmaceutical product development and senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of managing complex projects, driving alignment with organisational goals, and fostering collaboration across stakeholders to create space for analytical and scientific excellence in a dynamic, science-driven environment.
What you'll do
- Lead Strategic Initiatives – Develop and execute project plans for high-priority workstreams, ensuring they align with product development milestones and overall company strategy.
- Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with data scientists, engineers, and analytics teams to translate technical insights into actionable business strategies.
- Manage Timelines & Budgets – Define and maintain project roadmaps, proactively identifying risks, bottlenecks, and cost efficiencies.
- Engage Stakeholders – Serve as the key liaison between product teams and senior leadership, providing clear updates on progress, risks, and key achievements.
- Optimize Processes – Continuously refine program management workflows to improve agility and execution in a matrixed environment.
- Leverage Emerging Technologies – Identify opportunities to integrate AI, data platforms, and advanced analytics into workflows for better decision-making.
What you'll bring
Experience & Background
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering, business, or a related field; advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA) preferred.
- 6+ years of project management experience in biotech, pharma, MedTech, or life sciences.
- Strong understanding of modern product development practices.
- Experience managing complex projects in a highly collaborative environment.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and analytical tools.
- Experience working with teams applying AI, ML, or data science to business and scientific challenges.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the medical or clinical space.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables effectively.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar).
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Certifications (Preferred)
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
